March has been such an amazing month! I was lucky enough and the books I’ve chosen to read proved to be entertaining great stories. I feel like this month readings were a really nice experience, quite fluid books.
“Family of Liars” by E. Lockhart
You might already know about the great love and appreciation I hold for “We Were Liars” by E. Lockhart. Hearing about the release of a prequel, there was nothing to stop me from buying a copy of it. There was a heart warmth I got relating to the possibility of reading a different perspective upon the Sinclairs, returning to their story just one more time. No matter how many times I kept rereading “We Were Liars”, I would never get to experience that inner impatience and restlessness for the first time again.
In the end, reading “Family of Liars” felt like going back to a dear place to my heart. The reading proved to be fast-paced and truly eventful. I sensed a quite sharp contrast between the two volumes, contrary to all their numerous similarities. While “We Were Liars” highlighted so well the protagonist’s deepness, the action being mostly presented through suggestive metaphors, “Family of Liars” focused on the course of events. The readers understand Carrie’s personality and thoughts generally right at the end of the volume, while Candice’s character is gradually developed.
It was a fresh version of something familiar, a fact which I really admired. I loved finding again that story essence which got me, and yet getting something new, a fresh angle of their family’s story per total. Read here the review for more details about this book.
I was pleasantly surprised by the turn Carrie’s character took. It was unexpected, harsh and thrilling! It made “Family of Liars” an unforgettable book. I moved through the reading easily and fast, and yet the action didn’t seem rushed. This is what I would call a great book.

“Family of Liars”
A different generation, but still the same old liars. A Sinclair was always going to be a Sinclair

“King of Wrath” by Ana Huang
This reading was a total surprise! I felt like I was between the “Gossip Girl” characters. The vibe is literally so similar, which was an exciting aspect for me! This book got my attention starting with even its playlist: modern and aesthetic. The beginning, suggesting the ending, made my heart twist! It certainly caught my attention for good!
As an overview, I really enjoyed the general dynamic of the characters and also the circumstances. The characters were travelling a lot, completely randomly, but everything turned to be straight on the subject. So in the end, it was a pleasant reading. I went through it fast-paced, really easily, since it was pretty short itself. Even though it was not necessarily a full 5 star book, I enjoyed it and decided to consider it a pretty successful reading experience. Read here the review for more details about this book (it is going to be posted here on the 7th of April)

This quote is simply astonishing. It’s meaningful for the story and, for sure, suspense building! We all love an eventful unexpected hate-love relationship between the protagonists! ๐
