We are young, free spirits and infinite souls. Summer is almost here and this is our most important goal: make it memorable! This year, I bring you The Hottest Summer Readings, selected specially for joining you on the hot beach and in the cold ocean waves. Intense love, white summer nights, vivid memories and lifelong friendships.
Get ready, ’cause summer’s here! ☀️
1. “The Dark Elements” series by Jennifer Armentrout
The “Dark Elements” series is PURE GOLD! Even though the science-fiction element is clearly present in the story, the romance and the lovely descriptions still make the story feel so real.
Number of volumes: 3+1
Genre: Romance, Science Fiction
Age Rating: +15
Star Rating: 5/5 ⭐
2. “The Cheerleaders” by Kara Thomas
“The Cheerleaders” gets the “detective” and mystery style all together, and the final result? Completely stunning. An unexpected incredible reading for all the thriller lovers around the world!
Number of volumes: standalone
Genre: Thriller
Age Rating: +16
Star Rating: 5/5 ⭐
3. “Slammed” trilogy by Colleen Hoover
This book series has consumed me, dissolved my soul and made me feel every tiny feeling. I don’t have words to describe this book. It was a nice one, on a pretty simple theme, but with a great and special influence upon my sensibility.
Number of volumes: 3
Genre: Romance
Age Rating: +15
Star Rating: 5/5 ⭐
4. “The Kings of Sin” series by Ana Huang
“King of Wrath” was an exquisite story, simple through its theme and yet special for its features. It is a modern version of our beloved “Gossip Girl” TV series, highlighting an energic plot and well defined protagonists. “King of Wrath” proved to bring out an authentic “rich aesthetic”, in a totally new and yet familiar overview: the upper NY society.
I would like to say me liking this book was a surprise, but let’s be serious… I’ve known it since reading the very first sentence.
Number of volumes: 7
Genre: Romance
Age Rating: mature readers only
Star Rating: 4/5 ⭐
5. “Don’t Look Back” by Jennifer L. Armentrout
“Don’t Look Back” by Jennifer L. Armentrout is the very story that will teach you about friendships, relationships &, most of all, that you can change anytime the kind of person you are to become. All our decisions, purposes and hopes shape our lives, so we are the only ones in power to change something. I find this book quite entertaining and unusual for Armentrout. She has already got us used to her Science Fiction and romance book series.
Number of volumes: standalone
Genre: Thriller
Age Rating: +15
Star Rating: 4.5/5⭐
6. “The Obsession” by Nora Roberts
“The Obsession” is chaotical, dark and unexpected. It is just the type of book that makes you fall in love with reading! No moment is suspenseless and you’ll keep feeling on the edge of the cliff. Each secret and moment is shocking, the action becomes gloomy and stubborn to keep you in its nets. The characters are charismatic and brave, determined to fight for a new life, where the past dissipates itself. A story about which you hope not to read “inspired from reality” at the end of the book.
Number of volumes: standalone
Genre: Thriller
Age Rating: +16
Star Rating: 4.8/5⭐
